The Return Of Captain EO

by Brian Curran on December 19, 2009

It is now official. Disney has announced the Michael Jackson 3D music video/short film Captain EO will be returning to Disneyland in February 2010. Captain Eo was directed by Francis Ford Coppola and produced by George Lucas.

Twenty-three years ago, at the height of his phenomenal entertainment career, Michael Jackson joined forces with Disney to create “Captain EO,” a groundbreaking 17-minute 3D film experience.

We are excited to confirm that the classic musical spectacular that thrilled Disneyland park guests from 1986 – 1997, will return for an exclusive, limited engagement at Disneyland park beginning in February 2010!

Roy. E. Disney (1930-2009)

by Kris Van de Sande on December 16, 2009

As the last days of the year fly by, we must not only say goodbye to another year, but to a man who grew up with the Disney Company since birth, and ended up saving it. Roy. E. Disney, Nephew and son of the original Disney duo Walt en Roy O. and major stockholder of the Disney board succumbed to stumach cancer today, December 16, 2009.

A man remembered as being most alike appearance and personality to his father and uncle, he stood up in 2003 and founded the Save Disney movement. Early site visitors may recall attention to their idea’s and site, now offline.

Words are hard in this time of sorrow, and these will not be the most fitting, nor the most suiting words there will be written about this man who stood for the faces behind company, rather their wallets.

Roy, may you rest in peace.
