Roy. E. Disney (1930-2009)

by Kris Van de Sande on December 16, 2009

As the last days of the year fly by, we must not only say goodbye to another year, but to a man who grew up with the Disney Company since birth, and ended up saving it. Roy. E. Disney, Nephew and son of the original Disney duo Walt en Roy O. and major stockholder of the Disney board succumbed to stumach cancer today, December 16, 2009.

A man remembered as being most alike appearance and personality to his father and uncle, he stood up in 2003 and founded the Save Disney movement. Early site visitors may recall attention to their idea’s and site, now offline.

Words are hard in this time of sorrow, and these will not be the most fitting, nor the most suiting words there will be written about this man who stood for the faces behind company, rather their wallets.

Roy, may you rest in peace.

by Kris Van de Sande on November 17, 2009

Raving Toy Machine just got the latest answers from the regular Hasbro Q&A, and one of those is a rather nice announcement for us Star Tours fans.

2. With the announcement that Star Tours at Disneyland getting a makeover in 2011, will we finally see non-droid Star Tours characters made?
