Disney Previews Star Tours Starspeeder 1000 vehicle playset

Disney Parks Blog has posted a ton of images and information on the Starspeeder 1000 vehicle/playset scheduled to be released this month.

Some of the details:

  • Sold only at Disney Parks (NOT on the online store)
  • retail of $54.95
  • comes with R2-D2 and the IC-360 camera droid.
  • The R2 unit is removable and can be replaced with a different Astromech droid.
  • dialogue and sound effects directly from the attraction
  • boarding chimes play when the doors are opened or closed
  • Scaled with 3 & 3/4 inch Hasbro/Kenner action figures

Orlando Attractions Magazine Show Previews Starspeeder 1000 toy

Orlando Attractions Magazine – The Show has posted episode 51. The episode includes a interview with Disney’s Steven Miller who provides a preview of the upcoming Muppets/Star Wars action figures and the 3 & 3/4 inch (Hasbro/Kenner) scaled Starspeeder 1000 vehicle – playset.

The Starspeeder 1000 is previewed about 16 minutes into the video.

Muppets as Star Wars characters action figures

Disney Parks Blog posted a report about Muppets merchandise coming soon to Disney Theme Parks. Carded images of The Muppets as Star Wars characters were shown in the post.

This set of Muppets figures was first announced in 2010 at Star Wars Celebration.

Star Wars Insider issue #129 previews Starspeeder 1000 toy

The Star Wars Insider website has a preview for issue #129 on it’s website. The new issue includes a preview that should interest most Star Tours fans. They preview the latest Disney as Star Wars characters figures, Muppets as Star Wars characters figures and the 3 & 3/4 inch scaled Starspeeder 1000 vehicle playset!

Inaugural Year limited edition Star Tours pins

Hasbro’s Ambush at Star Tours
