The History of Star Tours on StarWars.com

James McFadden at the Star Wars Blog posted today a chronology looking at the history of Star Tours as well as the history of the current Star Tours: The Adventures Continue, which in itself is a history within the history.

What I like most about his write-up is that it doesn’t hold back on providing a wealth of information surrounding our favorite mode of tourism, revealing details on what makes up the Galactic Tourist Bureau or the name of the spaceport in the Earth System (THX1138 naturally).

While the story claims that Star Tours was the first collaboration between Disney and Lucasfilm, George Lucas’ involvement with Captain EO came out first in 1986.
