Fans of all things Disney can rejoice as D23: The Official Disney Fan Club and the Walt Disney Archives join forces with the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum to assemble hundreds of items never before displayed to the public.  The exhibit located in Southern California opens today, July 6th and will remain open during regular museum operating hours.

EndorExpress has already given you a sneak peak at some Star Tours and Tron items found in the exhibit, but here today we will showcase some items from Walt’s earlier days before his first feature.  Stick around as we will post several more photos throughout the coming week!

The Reagan Library is open daily 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (except Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day).  Museum Admission is $21.00 for adults, $18.00 for seniors over 62, $9.00 for children ages 11-17, and $6.00 for children 3-10.  A separate audio tour costs $7 per person (of any age).

With ElecTRONica having finished its run at Disney California Adventure a few months back, one has to wonder where they can get their Tron fix now.  Fortunately for fans of the Grid, the animated series Tron: Uprising can be found on Disney XD, but there’s an extra special treat for anyone in the Southern California area!  D23 Presents the Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives held at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.  It is an impressively large collection of some of the greatest displays from the Archives, including a special display just for Tron and Tron: Legacy.

The display opens to the public on July 6th but we have a special preview to Treasures of the Grid!  One thing worth mentioning is that it’s one thing to see the pictures but it’s another thing entirely to see it in person.

When the D23 Presents Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives opens its doors to guests on July 6 at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Museum, there will be a treasure trove of Disney artifacts, props, artwork, photographs, costumes… an office… and then some!  We have a lot more from the museum to share with you in the next few days from Walt’s early days all the way to the very modern Marvel, but we wanted to give our faithful readers a little something that they’d appreicate: RX-24 or Captain REX in his original form!  Ain’t it cute? It’s like flying to Endor for the first time all over again.
