Roy. E. Disney (1930-2009)

As the last days of the year fly by, we must not only say goodbye to another year, but to a man who grew up with the Disney Company since birth, and ended up saving it. Roy. E. Disney, Nephew and son of the original Disney duo Walt en Roy O. and major stockholder of the Disney board succumbed to stumach cancer today, December 16, 2009.

A man remembered as being most alike appearance and personality to his father and uncle, he stood up in 2003 and founded the Save Disney movement. Early site visitors may recall attention to their idea’s and site, now offline.

Words are hard in this time of sorrow, and these will not be the most fitting, nor the most suiting words there will be written about this man who stood for the faces behind company, rather their wallets.

Roy, may you rest in peace.

He was a great man indeed….all I am trying to find out is who is or was someone by the name of GUNDA. I have a 5 1/2 by 6 1/2 piece of leatherapprox. 3/16 thick with an incrredible stamped image of an early Mickey Mouse. It is done free hand and hand-painted in three demension. This Mickey Mouse Image is 5 1/4″ tall and 3 1/4″ wide. It also appears that his left short trouser’s leg opening was never finished. The impression is there, but no paint. This is a vintage piece, no doubt with maybe some faded signatures or writing at the top, no longer legible. Then it is signed underneath Mickey in all caps GUNDA ?? Could you suggest a link I may go to inquire about this item. I would really appreciate any help you could offer me.

    Thank You Very Much!
