Lucasfilm / Disney Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Walt Disney’s original Disneyland will get a major set of updates beginning on April 29, 2026, just in time for Star Wars Day. As posted in the Disney Parks Blog, more timelines will be infused within the world of Batuu, from the age of the Original Trilogy (Galactic Civil War and New Republic) while the Sequel Trilogy (Age of the Resistance and The First Order) will continue to occupy space near the Resistance Camp (Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance). The Mandalorian and Grogu as well as Ahsoka will meet near the Marketplace.
From the original trilogy arriving on Batuu will be Darth Vader and Stormtroopers, Leia Organa, Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Luke Skywalker. R2-D2 will also be found rolling through the land. But that’s not all! Selections from John Williams’ musical score will be played throughout the Galaxy’s Edge, something many fans have felt was missing when they’ve first explored the area.

There will be other enhancements made to the locations in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. First Order Cargo will become Black Spire Surplus, which will sell surplus from earlier aspects of the Galactic Civil War.
Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities will be digging up more remnants from ancient Star Wars history to sell.
The Droid Depot will be run from an earlier generation of the Mubo family, prototyping a BB style droid that you can take home.

And don’t forget, nighttime projections of “Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga” can be seen each night and on select nights, the fireworks spectacular “Fire of the Rising Moons” paired with the music of John Williams will continue to entertain.

Last but not least, Millennium Falcon: Smuglers Run will receive its major update to celebrate The Mandalorian and Grogu coming to theaters on May 22, 2026. Sounds like a great time to plan a trip to Disneyland!
