Several news outlets including Deadline.com, USA Today and CNBC reported, that the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser will be closing in Fall 2023. The final voyage of The Halcyon being September 28-30, and reservations have been paused until guests who have booked excursions beyond September have a chance to reschedule or cancel their trip. This announcement came as a surprise to many Disney/Star Wars fans as the immersive hotel experience opened just last March of 2022. However, many fans who scoffed at the price of the experience seem to have predicted this outcome, saying the business model is just not sustainable.
