DISCOVERY SCIENCE CENTER HOSTS STAR WARS™ FAN DAY: “USE YOUR INSTINCTS” March 3, 2012

SANTA ANA, CA – Calling all Star Wars™ fans! Visit Discovery Science Center (DSC) this Saturday for the fourth Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination ‘Fan Day’ as we take family fun to another galaxy with special presentations and activities for Star Wars fans of all ages. Each ‘Fan Day’ features unique presentations and activities, Star Wars character photo ops, and a costume parade at every event. Plus, match trivia wits against Star Wars characters and fans to demonstrate mastery of the “Force.”  Also, kids ages 3-14 get free general admission when they wear a Star Wars costume on any Fan Day.*

Today Disney Parks Blog updated with news that wave five of the Disney characters as Star Wars characters action figure series will arrive in Disney Parks stores in March.

Wave five features Donald Duck as Commander Cody, Donald’s nephews as Jawas, Goofy as Cad Bane, Stitch as General Grievous and Daisy as Aurra Sing.

When Star Tours 2.0 opened its gates in the Summer of 2011, eagle-eyed fans may have noticed a familiar being encased in Carbonite. This being, confirmed by Tom Fitzgerald of WDI is none other than everyone’s favorite Gungan, Jar Jar Binks.

Toy company Hasbro has recently announced its exclusive for attendees of the San Diego International Comic Con this July and it’s, you guessed it, Jar Jar Binks encased in Carbonite.

The San Diego Comic-Con International exclusive also comes with six other figures, one representing each Star Wars film. Our friends at Yakface.com has more details. For any fans collecting Star Tours, this is certainly one to add to the collection!
